You’ve watched me do this with my horses. Now I can help you do it with yours.
Most rehab programs focus on the horse’s body. Most training programs focus on behaviour.
I help you work on both.
Trainer in your back Pocket
Every horse and rider partnership is different.
Maybe your horse is coming back into work after an injury. Maybe you are dealing with behaviour you can’t quite get to the bottom of. Perhaps your confidence has taken a hit, your training has stalled, or you simply need an experienced set of eyes helping you decide what to work on next.
Trainer in Your Back Pocket is personalized online coaching designed to look at the whole picture. Considering the horse’s body, behaviour, training, and the rider on the other end of the reins.
Rather than giving you a generic program to follow, we start by figuring out what is actually happening with your horse and your situation.
Start With an Initial Assessment
$160 USD Kick Off Sale $130 USD
Before committing to a full coaching program, we start with an in-depth assessment.
You’ll complete an intake form giving me the background I need to understand your horse, your current training, any relevant medical history, and the problems or goals you would like help with.
You can also send me up to 20 minutes of video showing the things you want me to see. This might include groundwork, riding, free movement, problem behaviours, exercises you are struggling with, or simply what your horse looks like during a normal training session.
Then we meet for a private 90-minute video consultation.
During that session, we can:
Watch and discuss your video together
Talk through your horse’s history and current situation
Identify the areas you would like to improve upon
Discuss what may be contributing to the problems you are seeing
Establish realistic short- and long-term goals
Develop a practical starting plan for you and your horse
The goal is for you to leave the assessment with a much clearer idea of what to work on, why we are working on it, and what your next steps should be.
What happens after the assessment?
That part is completely up to you.
You can take the plan we develop and continue working on your own, or, if you want more hands-on support, you can continue into my 12-week Trainer in Your Back Pocket coaching program.
There is no obligation to sign up for ongoing coaching after your assessment.
What You Receive Each Week
Every week is built around your horse, your goals, and what happened during the previous week.
1. Your Individualized Live Lesson
Before your lesson, I will create and email you an individualized lesson plan so you know what we will be working on and can be prepared before we connect.
Then we meet for a 60-minute live online lesson.
This is your opportunity to work through the exercises with me watching in real time. I can help you adjust what you are doing, troubleshoot problems as they happen, and change the lesson depending on what your horse gives us that day.
You are not following a generic lesson plan. The lesson is designed specifically for you and your horse.
2. Your Custom Training Plan for the Week
After our lesson, I will create a personalized training plan for the remainder of your week. This will give you a clear direction for your sessions between lessons, including what I want you to focus on, exercises to practice, and how to progress them.
Instead of leaving a lesson wondering, “Okay... what do I do tomorrow?” you'll have a clear plan designed specifically for you and your horse. Each week, you'll receive a personalized set of exercises that builds on your progress and evolves as your horse's needs change. And these plans aren't just for the moment. They're yours to keep, creating a valuable library of exercises and guidance you can revisit, reference, and rely on for years to come.
That is the advantage of having a trainer following your progress week after week.
3. End-of-Week Check-In
Toward the end of each week, we will have a private check-in call to talk through how the training went. This is where we can discuss:
What improved
What did not go as expected
Questions that came up during the week
Changes you noticed in your horse
Exercises you are unsure about
What we should focus on during the following week
That conversation helps me build your next lesson around what is actually happening, adapting as needed.

Because of the amount of individualized preparation and follow-up involved, only two riders will be accepted into the program at one time.
If you are interested in one of the two spots, your first step is to book an Initial Assessment. From there, we can decide together whether the full 12-week program is the right fit for you and your horse.
What Can We Work On?
This program is not built around one specific discipline or one type of horse.
It is designed for riders who want individualized help understanding what their horse needs and how to move forward.
We can work on things like:
Behavioural issues — resistance, tension, anxiety, reactivity, difficult handling, or behaviours that seem to appear without an obvious reason
Return to work and rebuilding fitness after time off, injury, or rehabilitation, with appropriate veterinary clearance where needed
Rider confidence — especially after a fall, difficult experience, or loss of trust in your horse
Foundational groundwork — that will be the building block to successful partnerships, regardless of discipline or level of training
Flatwork — Using the principals of correct and functional Dressage
Jumping — Introducing green horses in a way that builds confidence or improving technique of confirmed jumpers
Strength, balance and correct movement
Young or green horses
Problem-solving when training feels stuck
Developing a more relaxed, responsive and confident horse
Building a realistic training plan around your horse’s physical and mental needs
And sometimes the biggest thing we work on is simply figuring out why something is not working.
I tend to look at the whole picture rather than separating behaviour, movement, training and the rider into completely different boxes.
That means the plan may change as we learn more about your horse, and that is exactly what individualized coaching is for.

This is intentionally a very small program.
I want to know you and your horse and develop a close working relationship, so that I can build a custom training program for you. I am offering you an intensive level of focus. You will no longer feel lost, stuck, or alone. You will have exclusive access to my mind and the thousands of training exercises and ideas I have swirling around.
Because of that, I will only be accepting two riders at a time into the full 12-week program.
